The Division of Engineering and Mathematics in the School of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
(STEM) at the University of Washington Bothell (UWB) invites applications for non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor full-time
faculty in Mechanical Engineering. We are seeking a candidate to join our faculty on a full-time basis for a 9-month service period and with
opportunities to teach during the summer. Appointments may be for multiple years (1-5 years). The start date is September 16, 2021.
Our teaching professors are dedicated to teaching excellence, pedagogy advances, service to the university and community outreach.
Instructional responsibilities for this position are focused, but not limited, to teaching laboratory classes in thermal sciences, materials
engineering, and computer aided design. This position also requires the oversight of our senior year capstone 3-course sequence which
includes ensuring yearly projects are assigned to student groups, assisting the assigned capstone instructor in locating outside company
sponsors, and potentially instructing one or more of the capstone courses. Other desired teaching areas are in mechanics (statics, mechanics
of materials, dynamics), vibrations, robotics, systems dynamics, machining and welding. A successful candidate will join a team that is
