The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Missouri University of
Science and Technology (Missouri S&T) in Rolla, Missouri is seeking outstanding applicants for a post-doctoral research associate
position in the area of fiber optic sensors working in the Lightwave Technology Laboratory (LTL Lab). Preference will be given to applicants
who can contribute to the research needs in instrumentation invention, fiber optic sensor, remote Raman spectroscopy, and experimental
design employing a range of chemical, mechanical, and optical sensors for the steelmaking industry. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in
electrical engineering or other related engineering areas, with a strong background in optical physics and electronics along with knowledge
of the development and use of optical and radiofrequency sensors. 

Successful candidates will be expected to have strong
commitments to (a) contributing to the departmental and college research efforts and (b) having a high degree of synergism and collaborating
on research within the Missouri S&T LTL Laboratory and the Kent D. Peaslee Steel Manufacturing Research Center (PSMRC).

ECE department has 36 faculty members, approximately 500 undergraduate and 200 graduate students, and had research expenditures of
