Teaching Assistant or Associate Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering


The Daniel Felix Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Denver is creating the future of technology by

Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) offers exceptional quality education and unique programs and degrees. Research
laboratories are continuously enhanced as they are essential to our educational and teaching philosophy, but also help us in solidifying
research and development producing prototypes and introducing cutting-edge technologies leading to industrial innovation. ECE envisions
providing a unique environment that fosters educational, research, technological, economic, cultural, and social enrichment.

Position Summary

The Department invites applications for a non-tenure track full-time Teaching Assistant or
Associate Professor position for the academic year 2021-2022 beginning September 1, 2021. The individual hired in this position will be
responsible for teaching introductory and higher-level undergraduate courses, and possibly graduate courses, in the areas of electrical and
computer engineering. Duties include six courses per year plus service. 

The appointment is initially a one-year contract,
renewable up to an additional two years based on satisfactory performance. A second three-year contract may be awarded following a formal
performance review.

Faculty members are expected to participate in faculty meetings and engage in service activities. Working
effectively and collegially with diverse groups of students, faculty, staff, and/or community members is an integral part of the job
responsibility. This position is not required to perform research.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD in
    Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related disciplines is required by time of appointment.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate courses.

Preferred Qualifications

  • For Teaching
    Assistant Professor, two or more years of previous experience teaching undergraduate courses.
  • For Teaching Associate Professor,
    four or more years teaching experience.
  • Experience in teaching two or more of the following topics: Circuits and Laboratory,
    Integration (Junior Design Course), Senior Design, Digital Design, Electronics, Digital Signal Processing, Signals and Systems, Engineering
    Electromagnetics.
  • Online teaching experience.
  • ABET experience.

Salary Range
Salary will be determined by the qualifications of the
