ANNOUNCEMENT:  Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for the full-time administrative
position of Director of Information Technology Development.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: In
accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, this position will manage all application development and
maintenance using a formal system development life cycle. Budget management, project management, application systems development and
implementation, and application systems production support is the responsibility of the Director of IT Development. Propose and support
approved strategic, tactical, and operation plans for development of application systems. This highly professional position requires
technical knowledge of computing hardware and software as well as a thorough understanding of the management information needs of a
community college. Management and team-building skills for application developers and project teams is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Bachelor’s degree with special study in
the information processing area is required.

2. Master’s degree in Computer Science or management is preferred.

3.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

4. Ten years of experience implementing application systems and
leading implementation teams is required.

5. Application development experience performing systems analysis and programming is
required.

6. PeopleSoft experience required.

7. Application development experience in an educational institution is
preferred.

SALARY: Grade 8 on the Administrative Salary Scale, ranging
from $88,668 to $103,538 per year.

WORK LOCATION: Belleville Campus with district wide
responsibilities
