Assistant Professor of Computer and Information Science

Columbia College is seeking applicants for a tenure track
Assistant Professor of Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) commencing in Fall 2021. Columbia College is a liberal arts college that
highly values the teacher/scholar model. All candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching excellence, a desire to work in a
liberal arts environment with emphasis on leadership development, and a potential to sustain a program of productive scholarship.

The
successful candidate for the CIS position must have a Ph.D. in CIS, Computer Science, Information Systems or in related disciplines by the
time of appointment. The candidate is expected to teach and supervise CIS, Networking, Cyber Security, Data Analytics courses in our
undergraduate program. Graduate programs are currently under development. The candidate should have day, evening, and weekend availability.
A background in teaching and developing online, face to face and hybrid courses using a learning management system will be preferred.
Previous experience in program management or industry experience is also a plus.
