West Bengal Teacher Recruitment 2020: The West Bengal State Government has announced teacher recruitment on the occasion of Diwali. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has given instructions to the state education department on 11 November 2020 to start recruitment of 16,500 vacant posts in schools. The Chief Minister said, about 16,500 posts of teachers are vacant in the state. At the same time, around 20,000 candidates have passed the State Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) examination. We have decided that as soon as the situation in Kovid-19 improves, the recruitment process for these vacancies will be started in December 2020 or January 2021.
The teacher recruitment process will be kept completely offline for 16,500 posts. Candidates who have passed the state TET exam will be able to apply. These candidates will be selected through offline interview.

Recruitment of more than 16 thousand teachers is a big opportunity for about 20 thousand candidates who have already passed the West Bengal TET exam. At the same time, it is a golden opportunity to recruit the West Bengal Government Teacher for the candidates who are going to take this year’s TET exam. The Chief Minister informed that more than 2.5 lakh candidates have applied for this year’s West Bengal Teacher Eligibility Test.

Giving information about the 16,500 teacher recruitment process in the state, the West Bengal CM said that notification for the recruitment process will be done by the school education department of the state government. The Chief Minister said that education department has been instructed to conduct offline examination (interview) at the earliest.
