Under the supervision of the Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, this faculty member is responsible for planning,
delivering, and supervision of instruction to a diverse population of students, supporting student success and assessment of student
progress in alignment with the Student Success Plan initiatives at the College. The successful candidate will have documented expertise in
their area of teaching responsibility and will work together with faculty and staff to create an atmosphere of trust and respect in which
all can succeed.
REPORTS TO: Dean of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
include but are not limited to:
- Teach one or more courses in Electrical Technology & Mechanical Technology (both
lab and lecture). Day, evening or Saturday sections may be available. Actively participates with classroom discussions; sharing experiences
- Provides relevant and timely feedback on student assignments, including participation.
- Compiles and
reports grade-related information. Teaching contracts will be in accordance with MCCC/MTA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology required.
Master’s Degree preferred.
- Three (3) years’ college-level teaching experience in automotive engineering technology,
preferably at the community college level, as well as several years in direct experience in the automotive industry are required.
- Electrical Engineering Technology concentration in Robotics, Sensors, Motor Controls, Programmable logic
- Mechanical Engineering
Technology concentration in CNC applications, CAM, CMM, Manufacturing.
- Desire and ability to work with a diverse student body in a
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Essential functions are performed indoor,
classroom and shop area and classroom activities may occur outside. Physical demands for this program may include walking, lifting,
standing, bending, and close vision.
