Associate Vice President, Enterprise Network Services


Texas A&M University (TAMU) seeks a dynamic, distinguished technology leader to serve as its next Associate Vice President,
Enterprise Network Services (AVP). As one of the largest universities in the country, TAMU has experienced remarkable growth and the AVP
will lead in developing a next generation network that optimally serves the current and future needs of a premiere research university.

Reporting to the Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer, the AVP will provide the strategic and
operational leadership for Enterprise Network Services (ENS). The AVP will create the strategy and plan for ENS that is aligned with the
vision and goals of the Information Technology department and university overall. This leader will develop and manage a high performing team
that provides network infrastructure and support that will enable the effective and efficient delivery of IT services. 

In
addition, the AVP is responsible for developing and executing the architecture plan that supports a highly available and secure network
across the university and its multiple campuses. A key area of importance will be to provide innovative leadership and management in the
development of a 5G university network. The ability to leverage shared services effectively while developing and maintaining a network that
supports the research mission of the university will be integral.

This position requires a confident leader with strong communication
skills who can create a future-facing network environment that effectively supports the academic, research and administrative needs of TAMU.
The successful candidate must have a proven record of accomplishment of developing, leading and managing high performing network services
teams in a complex organization, preferably within higher education. The AVP will be a knowledgeable leader, with a deep technical
understanding of network infrastructure and process improvement. She/he will be a collaborative, service oriented partner who can engage
others and build positive relationships. The AVP will be a driven, forward-thinking executive with business acumen and the ability to
deliver results in a complex higher education institution. The candidate must be able to meet ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) requirements.
