Position
Summary:

Nichols College, a business-oriented, four-year College, is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor in
Accounting, to begin fall 2021. This is a joint appointment for teaching in the graduate Master of Science in Accounting program and the
undergraduate Accounting Department. This is a three-year renewable appointment with the opportunity to transfer to the tenure track in the
third year.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to effective and creative teaching, will have a developing program
of scholarly activity that students can be involved in, and will have a practice of engaging with the business community.

For this
position, an earned doctorate, MS in Taxation, or doctorate in process is expected. Significant practical business experience, and evidence
of leadership, professional published research and holding professional designations are very desirable (CMA, CPA, CFE, CTRC and CISA).
Preference will be given to candidates with experience integrating accounting analytics and technology into teaching. There is opportunity
for program leadership in accounting.

The teaching responsibility is a 24 credit annual load, including introductory, upper-level,
and graduate level courses with an expectation that instruction will focus on experiential learning. Additional duties include advising,
student internship coordination, participation in College governance, publication of research and active collaboration in the Nichols
community.

Department Profile:

The undergraduate accounting program focusses on CPA readiness, data
analytics, information flow and the ethical foundations of modern business with evolving current software applications, experiential
learning and internships. We focus on helping students build a network of connections leveraging our alumni and industry contracts, combined
with practical experience that lands positions. Placements have been exceptional in recent years, helped in part by the on-campus fall
Accounting-Finance career fair.

In the MSA program we collaborated with top local employers to design a program that goes beyond CPA
Prep. The program dives deep into the career skills students will need to thrive blending technical accounting, and data analytics with
communication and negotiation. There are four corporate partners involved with the MSA.

Harford and Providence. The college has 1300 undergraduates and 320 graduate students. There are 52 full time faculty, 26 men and 26

of Science in Business Administration with 14 concentrations. The College also offers 7 Bachelor of Arts degrees, as
well as 4 graduate degrees: MBA, MSA, Master of Science in Organizational Leadership and Master of Science in
Counterterrorism. Nichols is NECHE and IACBE accredited; additionally, the Sport Management program is COSMA
accredited.
