Assistant/Associate Professor of Accounting-Reduced Load

TERM: 2021 Spring Semester
Nichols College, a business-oriented, four-year College, is seeking an Assistant or Associate
Professor in Accounting, to begin Spring semester 2021. This is a joint appointment for teaching in the graduate Master of Science in
Accounting program and the undergraduate Accounting Department. This is a faculty appointment, with a reduced teaching assignment.

of scholarly activity that students can be involved in, and will have a practice of engaging with the business community.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience integrating accounting analytics and technology into teaching.
teaching responsibility is a 9-15 credit annual load, compared to the regular full-time load of 24 credits, including introductory,
upper-level, and graduate level courses with an expectation that instruction will focus on experiential learning. Additional duties include
student internship coordination, publication of research and active collaboration in the Nichols community.
The undergraduate accounting program focusses on CPA readiness, data analytics, information flow and the ethical
foundations of modern business with evolving current software applications, experiential learning and internships. We focus on helping
students build a network of connections leveraging our alumni and industry contracts, combined with practical experience that lands
positions. Placements have been exceptional in recent years, helped in part by the on-campus fall Accounting-Finance career fair.
the MSA program we collaborated with top local employers to design a program that goes beyond CPA Prep. The program dives deep into the
career skills students will need to thrive blending technical accounting, and data analytics with communication and negotiation. There are
four corporate partners involved with the MSA.
