RRB NTPC Exam: The Railway Recruitment Board is going to conduct the first stage examination for recruitment to the posts of Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC). The RRB NTPC Exam for selection will start from 15 December. This is the first selection test and the candidates who pass this exam will be shortlisted for the next stage examination.

Selection will be done on the basis of criteria in the examinations conducted for NTPC recruitment. Negative marking will also be done in the exam. Marks will be deducted for each wrong answer given by the candidate. The wrong answer will be deducted from the mark of the correct answer.

RRB NTPC Exam Negative Marking

1/3 of the total marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The examination will be of screening nature and will be set according to the educational standards prescribed for the standard posts in question.

The candidates who have passed this exam will appear for the next stage of computer based examination. The exam will be held for several days, after which the exam result will be released as merit list. Merit list will be released on the basis of cutoff in all stages.

RRB NTPC Exam Center 2020

– The second phase of computer-based examination will be harder than the first. There will also be negative marking, a negative marking of a total of 1/3 for each wrong answer.

– For some of the posts like Trains Clerk, Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk, Commercial Apprentice, there will be no further examination after the second phase of computer based examination.

– However, for some other posts like Station Master and Traffic Assistant, there will be a Computer Based Aptitude Test.

– For each category, candidates equal to 8 times the number of vacancies of Station Master or Traffic Assistant will be shortlisted for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test. The examination will have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi and there will be no negative marking.
