The Minerva Schools at KGI invite applications for faculty in the Business College at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level
beginning in the 2021-2022 academic year. We seek outstanding scholars in business management, with a particular focus on Corporate Finance,
who are passionate about undergraduate education. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent, or expect to do so prior to September
The Minerva Schools at KGI (the Keck Graduate Institute) prepare students to become innovators and global leaders in a wide
variety of disciplines. Our aim is to reinvent higher education at every level, from how we define the curriculum to how we teach. All
Minerva classes are seminars, not lecture courses, and use active learning to help students learn to think critically and creatively as well
as to communicate and interact effectively with others. Students live together in residence halls, traveling to 7 different cities over
their four undergraduate years of study. We teach using Forum, a web-based platform that supports
real-time, synchronous seminars (ranging from 15-19 students) with high levels of student-faculty interaction. The majority of our students
are undergraduates pursuing four-year degrees.
You are a good fit for a Minerva faculty position if you are excited about business
education and attracted by the opportunity to radically innovate in higher education. As a student-centric program, we focus on learning
outcomes, small interactive class sessions, and deep engagement between faculty and students, with feedback given in both directions.
Because all classes are taught on our technology platform, you have complete flexibility to teach at Minerva via computer from any
geographic location where there are good internet connections. Students live and study in many global cities, so teaching days and hours
often fall outside the range of a typical business day. Please see our website for more information about Minerva’s course offerings
officially close on March 1, 2021. However, we will begin formally reviewing applications on November 1, 2020, and strongly encourage
applicants to submit a complete set of materials by then.
