ADJUNCT (PART-TIME) FACULTY POSITION

Legal Studies

Adjunct faculty appointments are
part-time temporary, non-benefits-eligible assignments for one semester in duration, with a teaching load not to exceed 9 credit hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  The majority of instructional duties will be at the main campus in Parkersburg, but may also
include the instruction of classes at the Jackson County Center in Ripley. Teaching assignments may include evening, weekend, hybrid and/or
totally on-line instruction. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s degree in Legal Studies from a
    recognized, regionally accredited college or university.
  • Alternatively, a Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 semester hours
    graduate credit in Legal Studies.
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) (preferred)
  • College-level teaching experience. (preferred)

EFFECTIVE: 

  • Fall Semester – August 2020.

RATE OF PAY:  

  • Masters/Equivalent $535/instructional hour
  • JD/Doctorate $565/instructional hour
