Shenandoah University is seeking a dynamic and versatile individual with a pioneering spirit and a love of teaching to support our
Cybersecurity and nascent Information Technology programs.
In addition to university service and research expectations and depending
on the candidate’s areas of expertise, duties will include:
- Teaching undergraduate Cybersecurity,
Networking and Database courses.
- Some teaching in the IT and Computer Science program as required
- Advising Cybersecurity students
- Coordinating the IT capstone courses
The Shenandoah University Division of Applied Technology is seeking a qualified
candidate to fill an undergraduate faculty position in Cybersecurity with some duties supporting the Information Technology program based at
the Winchester campus. Depending on applicant credentials and experience, both part-time and full-time opportunities are available.
Post-docs are encouraged to apply.
The primary responsibilities of this position include curriculum development, teaching, and
student advising. Some courses may be offered online. Faculty should expect to work directly with students in the lab guiding student
projects. Depending on the type of appointment, faculty may be expected to participate in research activities as well as program, school,
and university service.
Qualifications for this position include outstanding industry
experience and/or an earned Masters or Phd in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. The ideal
candidate will have experience with a variety of operating systems, cybersecurity tools, and modern best practices.
