Post Doctoral Researcher – School of Pharmacy

Doctoral Research Associate with Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, chemical engineering, or related field will be for formulation
development, manufacturing, and quality control of nanopharmaceuticals. Prior experience in nanotechnology applied to molecular imaging and
drug delivery is preferred. The position requires participation in administrative duties related to proposed project: formatting and
preparation of quarterly and annual reports, management of laboratory supplies and workflow.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develops analytical protocols for quality control and run these analyses on regular basis which include but not limited to cell culture
assays, imaging in vitro, NMR, LC-MS, HPLC, TEM/SEM, microscopy.
Design, develops and manufactures needed nanopharmaceuticals.
Produces quarterly scientific reports and contribute to scientific manuscripts and presentations related to the project.

Performs other related job duties as assigned
by the Principal Investigator.

A Minimum 1-3 years of prior laboratory experience is essential.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required for
this position are as follows:
- Displays leadership skills in the lab and serves as a role model for junior colleagues (graduate
and undergraduate students).
- Ability to perform synthetic chemistry bench work.
- Ability to perform analytical chemistry
methods (HPLC, UV/VIS, MS, NMR)
- Ability to collect data in analytical studies.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the University Community.
