JOB DESCRIPTION:

The School of Computer and Information Science at Washington Technology University is seeking a
full-time faculty member with a minimum master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields. Concentration in
information security, Cyber security, or internet security is desired. This position will begin immediately and will remain open until it is
filled. The responsibilities for this position will include teaching, curriculum advising and management, student academic services and
University services:

Teaching

  • Teach assigned courses in accordance with the course syllabi and a
    schedule of classes that may include day, evening, weekend and distance classes offered;
  • Engage in development of new and creative
    instructional materials, including new courses and programs of studies;
  • Maintain a current knowledge of advances and innovations in
    the discipline;

Curriculum Advising and Management

  • Serve as the curriculum leader, advise on the
    curriculum development and improvement;
  • Provide directions and oversee the academic quality assurance process;
  • Lead student
    learning assessment and program assessment;

Student Academic Services

  • Advise students and ensure
    the successful completion of their degree program;
  • Post and hold office hours in a physical and electronic format (to include
    virtual office hours) as appropriate;
  • Provide career advisement for students;
  • Provide other assistance in resolving student
    learning related issues;

University Service

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the school
    and the University;
  • Assist with accreditation and degree authorization processes;
  • Attend school, University meetings along
    with workshops, ceremonies and graduation.

Minimum qualification for faculty of all our baccalaureate programs are as
follows:

  • Master’s Degree or higher in appropriate discipline;
  • Demonstrated teaching at the undergraduate
    level;
  • Knowledge in related fields of the program;
  • Ability to supervise students pursuing Bachelor’s
    Degree;
  • Knowledge and skills in current instructional theories, strategies, techniques and discipline content;
  • Evidence of
    potential for scholarly/creative work consistent with a teaching university.

Other desired qualifications
include:

  • Ph.D. Degree in related field
  • 2 years of college level teaching experience
  • Industrial working
    experience and knowledge of industrial trend
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Acquaintance with
    technology
  • Ability to accommodate a wide variety of learning styles, special needs, etc.
