Job Summary

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute invites applications to fill a full-time Lecturer position. The selected individual will be welcomed into the
department as a full partner with the eight (8) current faculty participating in undergraduate curriculum instruction and development
focusing on preparing the industrial and systems engineer of the future. This position will be on the Troy, New York campus. Lecturers are
non-tenure-track faculty members who have experience in the research and practice of their profession in non-academic settings such as
industry or government laboratories and can bring this experience to our programs in education and research, and have the ability and desire
to teach in a collaborative environment.

The responsibilities of the position, in addition to engaging students through course
instruction in our Industrial and Systems Engineering programs, include identifying and/or developing full time fall or spring term
internships for junior class students completing the Arch semester; and engaging with the faculty in curriculum development and program
curriculum redesign.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates will have a Ph.D., or foreign degree equivalent, in
Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering or closely related field.

Candidates are expected to have experience as a Graduate
Research Assistant or Graduate Teaching Assistant, along with a strong desire and commitment to teaching and student support primarily at
the undergraduate level. Preference will be given to candidates with an undergraduate degree in industrial engineering (or a closely related
degree).

Applicants must meet stated minimum education and experience requirements.
