Position Summary: Researcher I – Environmental/Analytical Toxicology, term appointment in
the Center for Fisheries, Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences at Southern Illinois University.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Conducts bioaccumulation studies with aquatic invertebrates and fish. Prepares field-collected samples for pesticide extraction and
cleanup, quantifies extracts using GC-MS and LC-MS techniques. Maintains and troubleshoots the analytical equipment and orders and maintains
laboratory inventory.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree. Candidates must have good problem-solving
and scientific writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications: M.S. degree preferred. The successful candidate will
ideally have a background in either environmental toxicology or analytical chemistry, and have analytical instrumentation experience.
Preference will be given to applicants with formal training on Agilent equipment and software and have toxicity testing and field
