Depending on the position you applied to (Full-Time or Part-Time), compensation listed
below is as follows:

  • Full-Time compensation is based on qualifications, experience and internal
    equity in addition to a generous benefits package. Listed is the minimum starting annual salary
    which, for a non-exempt position, would be paid on an hourly basis.
  • Part-Time Hourly compensation
    has a set rate of pay.
  • Part-Time Faculty (Faculty Load and Compensation) in accordance with Aims
    Community College pay schedule.

Job Duties:
Candidates are sought to form a hiring pool for
part-time term positions in Air Traffic Control; teaching assignments may include a variety of courses depending on the candidate’s area of
expertise.

  1. Provide academic instruction to students as assigned.
  2. Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration
    (FAA) procedures per Air Traffic-College Training Initiative (AT-CTI)requirements.
  3. 3.Assist with development of new courses and
    revise existing courses as required.
  4. Represent the aviation department at conferences, seminars, and workshops.

Work
Hours: Ability to teach days, nights, and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 10 years
    experience in an FAA Air Traffic Control Tower, Air Route Traffic Control Center, or Radar Approach Control.
  2. Air Traffic
    Control instructional and/or supervisory experience.
  3. Possess basic computer skills.
  4. Hold FAA-Issued Certified
    Professional Controller Certificate.
