Freelance Author (m/f/d) – Industrial Automation

The International University of Applied Sciences with its IUBH Campus Studies, IUBH Distance Learning and IUBH Dual Studies divisions – has
become one of the most successful private universities in Germany since its founding in 1998. German and English language bachelor’s,
master’s and MBA degree programmes are offered with over 30 specializations for diverse business sectors and areas of responsibility. The
spectrum of degree programmes range from marketing and business administration to healthcare management, business informatics and business
law. All degree programmes are accredited, certified and have received numerous awards, for example from CHE University Ranking, and Premium Seals from FIBAA.

For our distance learning program (Master-level course) we are now looking for
a Freelance Author (m/f/d) in the following course:
Industrial Automation


  • Introduction to Production Systems
  • Automata
  • Petri nets
  • Timed models
  • Simulation of
    discrete event systems
  • Supervisory control
  • Applications

Your tasks include:

  • The creation of
    a course book (5-10 units) based on an existing module description/course outline
  • The creation of related online and exam
  • The selection of related readings

All content will be written in English. A course book contains about 30,000 to
50,000 words (130-200 pages). You will receive detailed guidelines regarding the content, format, and the specific elements of the course
book to be delivered. The work will be completed exclusively offsite (i.e. from your home office).

Authors should have an
academic background in Industrial Automation (Master or PhD) and experience creating study materials.
