legislation sponsored by Sen. Patrick Leahy in 2002 and is funded in part through the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of
Defense. NUARI was established as a national center to address cyber incident management challenges through research, training programs and
technology development and has been a global leader for more than a decade in developing cyber war gaming, distributed learning technology,
distributed simulation technology, critical infrastructure exercises, and cyber security.

Job Description:

Norwich University Applied Research Institute (NUARI) is seeking an experienced Program Manager to coordinate the Applied Research
Institutes and Norwich University cybersecurity initiatives. This position will report to the Vice President at NUARI with additional
reporting responsibilities to the Associate Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Norwich University.

Duties will
include

  • Drive full lifecycle program management and communications for internal and external cyber initiatives and
    projects
  • Create and maintain detailed plans with dates, deadlines, and Gantt charts as required
  • Identify and offer
    solutions to issues (before they become issues), as well as escalate risk with multiple options for addressing
  • Communicate progress
    and overall status during weekly calls
  • Analyze operational and financial (budget and planning) data with the team
  • Conduct
    quantitative and qualitative data analysis with the team; prioritization, analysis, recommend solutions
  • Continuously identify
    opportunities for, and implementation of, process improvement
  • Engage in government contracting activities and ensure contract
    obligations are met, and on time
  • Build relationships with outside clients and government representatives
  • Collaborate with
    team members across line of business and cross functional teams
  • Facilitate discussions and action across functional teams
  • Deliver concise, high-quality reports, presentations, and other communications materials for management and cross functional teams
    internally and externally
  • Efficiently learn in-house software/services and assist in identifying ways to automate and improve work
    flows with the development team

Requirements:

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s
    degree
  • 7+ years of program/project management experience
  • Proven track record of supporting strategic business initiatives
    and/or process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to influence stakeholders to accomplish objectives
  • Ability to work multiple
    projects, prioritize tasks, and complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office, including
    Excel and Access
  • Excellent communications skills – oral, written, listening, etc.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge, experience, or education in cybersecurity or information technology
  • Exposure to technical environment
