We are seeking a Manager of Information Systems for our IT team for the development, implementation, management and improvement of information technology software applications for the Division of Student Affairs. You will complete and coordinate various tasks to ensure that the defined goals, plans and projects of the Student Affairs Departments are successfully completed.
Core responsibilities include:
- Developing Custom Application, Custom and Third Party Software Administration, Database Design, Implementation and Management and coordination of new software implementation
- Providing Systems analysis and quality assurance for other developers
- Providing user documentation and trainings as well as IT related industry standards research
- Developing, maintaining and coordinating both third party and custom software applications to meet organizational needs as requested
- Designing and maintaining both third party and custom application data interfaces to ensure proper data sharing between applications as needed
- Creating both manual and automated customized datasets and reports as required. Provide documentation for all such systems
- Providing systems analysis for specific projects including recommended user interface design, database and API specifications
- Providing quality assurance for other developers’ projects, database design, implementation and administration
- Providing end user support for third party and custom application issues
- Maintaining user/user group management for applications. Updating support documentation and tracking systems. Providing documentation and coordinate ongoing system and software trainings/knowledgebase Training: .Net development with C# and/or Microsoft SQL Server if necessary

You should demonstrate:
- Proven ability to work in high stress situations; meeting inflexible deadlines; dealing with difficult individuals while maintaining composure; working long and non-standard hours as necessary
- Proven ability to successfully collaborate with and provide support across functions. Evening and weekend work may be required to adhere to deadlines
- 3-5 years’ experience as a web application developer as well as designing and implementing relational databases. 1-3 years’ experience in writing console (desktop) applications
- Thorough understanding and at least 2 years’ experience working with the Microsoft .Net platform using C#. Thorough understanding and at least 2 years’ experience using web APIs
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
