Job Description:
The Part-Time Non-Credit Adjunct Instructor prepares students for employment as bail bond agents
in accordance with Chapter 648, Florida Statutes, and Chapter 4-221, Florida Administrative Code. The Part-Time Non-Credit Adjunct
Instructor must have expertise in the following subjects:
- Bail bond laws, rules and regulations.
- Professional
relationships. - Operating a bail bond agency.
- Arrest laws.
- Arrest techniques and search and seizure.
- Defense.
- Collateral.
- Forfeitures, estreatures and judgments.
- Civil law.
- Criminal
law. - Courtroom demeanor and court organization.
Supplemental Job Information:
The College
is seeking applicants to teach part-time for upcoming semesters. Applications will remain actively on file for one year. To be considered,
applicants must have been awarded the qualifying degree and possess a bail bonds instructor certification from the Florida Department of
Financial Services. Part-Time Non-Credit Adjunct Instructors may teach approximately 12 to 25 hours each week depending on the class
schedule. Classes may be offered during the day, evening, or on weekends.
Qualifications:
A Juris Doctorate
Degree. The applicant must be certified as a bail bonds instructor by the Florida Department of Financial Services.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Prefer applicants with: (1) people interaction skills, (2) experience working with a diverse population, (3)
group leadership skills, (4) effective oral and written communication skills, and (5) prior teaching experience.
Required
Qualifications: A Juris Doctorate Degree. The applicant must be certified as a Bail Bonds Instructor by the Florida Department of Financial
Services.
Pay Rate:
$40.01 – $100.00 depending on qualifications and experience.
