Depending on the position you applied to (full-time or part-time), compensation listed
below is as follows:

  • Full-Time compensation is based on qualifications, experience and internal
    equity in addition to a generous benefits package. Listed is the minimum starting annual salary
    which, for a non-exempt position, would be paid on an hourly basis.
  • Part-Time Hourly compensation has a set rate
    of pay.
  • Part-Time Faculty (Faculty Load and Compensation) in accordance with Aims Community
    College pay schedule.

Job Duties:
This position provides administrative third party training for Commercial Driver’s
License Training group. Following state regulations set by the State of Colorado, Department of Revenue, Division of Motor Vehicles, CDL,
Compliance Office.

  1. Train students in all areas of trucking/driving.
  2. Maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of all
    state regulations concerning the operation of a CMV.
  3. Must be comfortable with clients of very diverse backgrounds, work ethics, and
    or skill levels.
  4. Will work closely with CDL testers.
  5. Must be able to determine skill level and test-readiness of
    students.

Work Hours: Part time – 25 hours per week during the weekdays contingent on student enrollment and student
needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a
part/full-time basis.

  1. Valid CDL A.
  2. Three years driving experience with CDL.
  3. Clean MVR for
    last two Years.
  4. Ability to pass background check.
  5. Ability to pass initial and follow-up drug screens.
  6. Ability to
    communicate and work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  7. Excellent customer service skills.
  8. Excellent written
    and verbal communication skills.
  9. Basic computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. At
    least one year experience as a CDL instructor.
  2. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. train in inclement weather, and climb in and
    out of the CMV vehicle (including the trailer).
  3. Must be able to bend to pick up traffic cones. Must be able to stand on
    pavement for extended periods of time.
