The Department of Computing, Mathematics and Physics in the School of Science, Engineering and
Health at Messiah University invites applications for a part-time/adjunct faculty position.
Teach undergraduate computer science classes on an as-needed basis in the candidate’s discipline area for computer science majors,
students in other majors, and/or QuEST (general education) curriculum.
Advanced degree or
significant experience in the area relevant for the course that will be taught. Candidates must evidence the potential for strong classroom
teaching and positive student interaction and mentorship. Messiah University selects its educators for their Christian commitment as well as
their proven teaching ability.
Messiah University’s Computing, Mathematics and Physics Department
offers the following undergraduate degrees related to CIS: BS in Computer and Information Science with concentrations in Business
Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Development, and Web Management, BS in Cybersecurity and minors in Computer Science and
Business Information Systems.
The Department of Computing, Mathematics and Physics comprises 4
full-time CIS, 6 full-time mathematics/statistics, and 3 full-time physics faculty. The department serves a wide range of majors in CIS,
Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics, in addition to meeting course requirements in other fields of study.
